M.J.B. 1941-1949
Ina shuan in aice láimhe

Codail, codail, codail, go sítheach,
Dia do do bheannachadh, a MJB.
N’fheadair éinne cé dar díobh tú,
Ná níl cuntas ar do bhás ag éinne,
Ná cé’r leis an láimh, i gcoim na hoíche
A dhaingnigh an leac i gcillín an naoimh,
Ag bun Bharr Trí gCom, i gcuimhne ort.

Pé acu ar cuireadh fén leacht
An chéad lá riamh tú, nó i ngort,
I gclaí nó i nGairdín na Maighdine
Cuirim tú ar dhíon Mhuire is a Mic
Ar dhíon Bhríde is a brait,
Is codail, a linbh, codail go brách.
M.J.B. 1941-1949
Na shuain ri làimh

Dèan cadal, cadal, cadal sèimh,
Is gun robh Dia gad bheannachadh,  M.J.B.
Chan eil fios aig duine cò bu leis thu,
Chan eil cunntas aig duine air do bhàs,
No air cò leis an làmh, am meadhan na h-oidhche,
A shocraich leac an cladh an naoimh,
aig bun Bhàrr Trì Com, mar chuimhne ort.

Co-dhiubh a chuireadh fo chàrn thu,
A’ chiad là riamh, no ann am pàirce,
Ann an dìg no san fharraige dhomhainn,
Cuiridh mi fo dhìon Muire ’s a mic thu,
Cuiridh mi fo dhìon Brìde ’s a brait thu,
Dèan cadal, a leanaibh, dèan cadal gu bràth.

Resting nearby

Sleep your sleep, a peaceful sleep.
May the blessing of God be on you, M.J.B.
No one knows who your family were
Nor where nor what caused your death
Nor whose hand, in deepest night
Made secure the stone in the cillín
At the foot of Barr Trí gCom, in your memory.

Whether you are lying under the memorial
From day one or in a field,
In a wall or in Mary's Garden,
I put you under the protection of Mary and her Son,
Under the protection of Bridget and her mantle,
So sleep, child, sleep well forever.
